I support free markets, free enterprise and economic freedom. I unequivocally reject socialist policies that have failed every time they've been tried. Under President Trump's economic policies, we've seen nearly every demographic including women, Hispanics and young people enjoy rising incomes and new opportunities.
I strongly support the Second Amendment, which protects every individual's unalienable, natural right to self-defense and I will support Supreme Court nominees who will protect that right.
In the last decade, America has become the world leader in energy production. Energy independence is benefitting New Mexico's economy, a revenue source that funds our schools, infrastructure and provides good paying jobs for thousands of our families. We must continue to support our energy independence while exploring clean energy alternatives that can be supported by the free market economy.
I believe America must enforce our immigration laws and that we need strong, secure borders that protect New Mexico families as well as the most vulnerable victims from drugs, cartels, crime and human and child sex trafficking.
America can and should be a leader in the world, but we must avoid military entanglements and ensure that our allies meet their commitments and maintain their responsibilities.
Defending the rights of veteran's is a priority. We must continue to advance and enact accountability reforms so that veterans receive quality and responsive health care, including access to mental health care.
I support affordable, accessible care for all Americans that includes coverage for pre-existing conditions. I oppose socialist efforts to take away New Mexicans' private health insurance coverage and impose a one size fits all, lower quality government-controlled health care system on all of us.
I believe in reducing the role of the federal government in our schools, while expanding the options available to parents to ensure every child receives a quality education.
